  • March 5, 2010 – The world’s largest home improvement retailer announced Thursday a 2.6 billion kWh reduction in energy use in its domestic stores, which represents a 16% decrease since 2004.   • March 4, 2010 – The Environmental Protection Agency announced today that they will exempt smaller businesses and buildings from approaching greenhouse gas regulation, stating that all organizations emitting less than 75,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year will not have to obtain permits in 2011 or 2012.   • March 3, 2010 – The current Jobs bill up for consideration in the Senate includes a biodiesel tax credit of $1 per gallon for soya farmers, after the same credit expired at the end of 2009. Since the credit expired, approximately 12% of the U.S soy cultivation has virtually ceased. READ MORE

  • February 26, 2010 – The world’s  largest retailer announced in a webcast Thursday the goal of eliminating  20 million metric tons of greenhouse gases (GHG) from their global supply chain by the end of 2015.
