Lexus, Fairmont Hotels in Lux Hybrid Tie-Up

July 25, 2008 - Fairmont Hotels is looking for new ways to appeal to green-conscious consumers, teaming up with Lexus to offer luxury hybrid car service to preferred guests.

The high-end hotel chain is offering its President's Club members use of Lexus hybrid vehicles as hotel courtesy cars at Fairmont locations throughout the U.S.

"It's clear that luxury customers want to take care of the environment, both at home and when they travel," says Lexus marketing VP Dave Nordstrom. "This partnership with Fairmont allows Lexus to showcase how our hybrids strive to seamlessly blend style, comfort, and luxury with sustainability."

Fairmont and Lexus are also working on another co-branding opportunity: high-end accommodations geared for eco-conscious visitors. Called Lexus Hybrid Living Suites, the green-themed hotel rooms include energy-efficient fixtures, eco-friendly paints, and complimentary use of Lexus hybrid vehicles. The new suites launched earlier this year at Fairmont locations in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
